People get to know me and start feeling like I have every reason not to smile. So how do I? Surprisingly, its adversity that makes me smile. I know I made it past all those things that bound my knees to the ground but somehow I got up. There will be children starting out early on that are robbed of their childhood but I know now that I want to help with that. So what did I decide on?
Writing! Writing children's book. Sounds easy mixed with hard, right? That is because it is. I have joined the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and on Monday I have my first Critique group. I am going to update on here as much as often as I possible. I am going to share EVERYTHING with you...even when I want to quit. The critique groups will help to assure that my work is perfect for the publisher and for the child. I just want to see someone else smile through adversity.
I made sure of it that I had someone to be in the passenger seat when it gets too quiet in the reader world. Before i post my "Write out Loud" for you all, I will share with "mama's bear."
When I was growing up this bear was just a bear but now he means so much to me. To have something my mother loved, other than myself, inspires me. I pray that I inspire you as you take this journey with me and listen to me write out loud. See you here on Monday
